Embroidery Stabilizer

As far as possible to prevent the fabric in the frame in the embroidery process expansion and contraction, for embroidery closer to the original pattern embroidery, to reduce the chance of thread breakage and unthreading, can be divided into Stabilizer and Backing Stabilizer.

Top Stabilizer 

The "Top Stabilizer " is placed on top of the embroidery piece. It is a specialised material designed to prevent the embroidery thread from "sinking" into the fabric. Backing Stabilizer

"Backing Stabilizer" is a specialised material (usually non-woven) that is placed underneath the embroidery piece to give the fabric more stability. Embroidery backing prevents the fabric from wrinkling, stretching and distorting after the embroidery is completed and washed, especially if the embroidery is on a stretchy fabric.

TearAway Backing

It provides temporary support for embroidery projects. They are best used on firmly woven fabrics and fabrics made from natural fibers.  Tear away embroidery stabilizer can be torn away easily yet provides adequate stability. Stabilized woven fabrics are usually better with hand-tear type embroidery backing, this is because when you remove the excess embroidery backing by hand, the fabric will not be distorted or damaged. And if possible, it is more pleasant to use the hand-tear type of embroidery backing because the back of the embroidery is more beautiful after removing it by hand than the cut type. CutAway Backing

It is a permanent stabilizer will remain forever affixed to the embroidery and will provide permanent support for the design, it also helps retain the design's shape after repeated washing. for much denser designs, you can use more than one layer.

It dissolves completely when immersed in cold or warm water leaving no backing at all. This is no show mesh stabilizer which provides permanent support for embroidery projects. Unlike traditional cutaway stabilizer, our no show mesh stabilizer eliminates the backing showing through light colored fabrics because of its semitransparent, soft and sheer texture. (similar to Sulky Soft'n'Sheer, Weblon, OESD Polymesh). For the embroidery designs with light stitches, just put one layer stabilizer under the fabric, then hoop and stitch together. Self-Adhesive Tear Away

Tips for keeping Needles from Getting Gummed up:

1.Slow down the stitch speed to 400spm. High stitch speed will generate more heat to melt the glue, making the needle to be gummy.

2.Rub the needle with Sewer Aid - a type of lubricant to reduce friction when stitch.

3.Using the special needle . The recommended is the Organ Anti-glue needle.

4.clean the needle with alcohol usually.

Ironing Temperature Notes:

 Start ironing temperature between 130°C to 160°C for iron setting. In the winter, please increase the ironing temperature between cotton and linen for iron setting.
